In August of 2007, a group of physicians and healthcare professionals met with Dr. Sara Mednick, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego and author of “Take a Nap! Change Your Life” to research the best way to deliver sleep and relaxation in airports.
Together, they built the first Minute Suites prototype based on their findings.
After launching at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 2009, Minute Suites gained traction and started to expand into airports the top 40 busiest airports in the nation. You can now find Minute Suites in airports all around the country.
More locations are being added every year!
We began as a wellness-based brand located in the airport to relieve the stress and fatigue caused by air travel. While we’re still a healthy sleep solution, we’re also a clean, sanitized, and calm oasis for anyone who needs to get serious work done or just wants a moment of peace in the midst of a crowded terminal.

With close attention to detail, the company finalized the design of our suites in March of 2009 and launched the first Minute Suites in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on November 18, 2009. Building on the success of our Atlanta location, the second location was launched in the Philadelphia International Airport in March of 2011, providing another location while increasing the size of the concept to 13 suites.
As travelers responded very positively to the company’s service, Minute Suites continued to expand over the next decade and now can be found in major airports in the United States. For a full list of our current locations, CLICK HERE.
